This morning, the long-anticipated redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report that investigated possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign was released to Congress.

Before the report was released to the lawmakers in Washington, U.S. Attorney General William Barr held a press conference in which where he presented the report’s findings in a more substantial way than he did in his written summary, released on March 24.

Barr made it clear that there were efforts from and by Russia to influence the outcome of the 2016 Presidential Election... But they were acting alone, and not coordinating with anybody on the Trump team.

Barr continued, saying that from the beginning, he disagreed with some of the Special Counsel’s “legal theories” on obstruction, and that the investigation was entirely unprecedented

President Trump spent his morning at an event for wounded veterans in Virginia. He was in an understandably good mood, celebrating and saying that this sort of “hoax” should never happen again.

CBS White House Correspondent Paula Reid joined the coverage this morning… and said that what stands out the most to her in all of this is how the president reacted to the Special Counsel being appointed.
