The famous White Rock Pier was extremely damaged after last night's major storm. Officials had to close it yesterday, after the wind and crashing waves pummeled the pier, forcing a dramatic rescue of a man who was trapped on the pier. Global News reporter Nadia Stewart caught up with him last night.
The City of White Rock is hoping senior levels of government will be able to help with the rebuild of the pier damaged in yesterday’s storm. Mayor Darryl Walker and the City Fire Chief updating the media the day after the big storm, Walker saying he has already reached out to the provincial and federal governments.
