CHAPTER 1
🔥🔥 Hot question of the day 🔥🔥
It’s @MikeSmythNews’s 🔥 question of the day
As Boeing’s CEO steps down, we want to know: have the issues with the 737 MAX aircraft prompted you to do more research about the aircraft you fly on?
Yes, safety first.
No, a crash is unlikely.

CHAPTER 2
Woman dragged by a van for seven blocks released from hospital and has started walking
More than two months after getting struck by a van and dragged for up to seven blocks in the Downtown Eastside, a Vancouver woman has been released from the hospital into a rehabilitation centre, her family and friends confirm. Even more remarkably, friends say Desiree Evancio has started walking, after the family had been told there was a chance she might never walk again. The devastating incident on October 12th left the 25-year-old with life-changing injuries, including traumatic damage to her face.
Guest: Ashley Danh
Sister of Desiree Evancio

Holiday traffic and travel update
A few earthquakes detected over the last couple of hours…
Earthquakes Canada reporting one about 20 minutes ago, 185 kilometres west of Port Alice on Vancouver Island. That’s one got detected automatically as a 5.6 - just waiting on an official measurement.
Earlier, around 8:45am, there was another shake in the same area, that registered as a 5.1.

CHAPTER 5
ICBC apologizes for suggesting a Mountie was to blame for crash that killed her
ICBC is apologizing for suggesting in court that a Mountie's negligence led to the crash involving a drunk driver that killed her.
West Shore RCMP Constable Sarah Beckett died in April 2016, when Kenneth Fenton -- three times over the legal limit -- ran a red light to escape police and rammed his truck into her car.
In a legal response to a claim filed by the Attorney General of Canada, lawyers for ICBC had argued Fenton wasn't responsible for the damage to Beckett's RCMP cruiser.
In fact, they said she was negligent on 14 points, didn't take steps to avoid the collision, and in fact owed Fenton a duty of care -- which she breached.
ICBC now apologizing, and saying they will retract that claim.

CHAPTER 6
Three earthquakes above 5.0 in three hours off Vancouver Island’s west coast
Three earthquakes off the B.C. coast this morning.
The first, measuring 5.2.
The second, measuring 5.6.
And the latest, provisionally measuring 5.8.
The first happened at 8:45am, and the others happened in the past hour. They’re happening around 170 kilometres west of Port Hardy, on the northern tip of Vancouver Island.
This is important: there is no tsunami expected, and there is no reports of damage.Â
Let’s get some context on this now - let’s find out how common this kind of activity is - and whether this pattern tells us anything about future seismic events.
