🔥🔥 Hot question of the day 🔥🔥

It’s @SimiSara980’s 🔥 question of the day:

In Burnaby, a shocking video has gone viral showing a woman yelling at two employees of a Shopper's Drug Mart, for speaking in their native language.

Do you intervene when you see people being verbally abused?

Yes, we need to stand up

No, I just freeze

Chapter 3

Residents along Clark Drive breathing in harmful particulates: study

One in three Canadians lives near a major road, and that means they’re breathing in a lot of vehicle exhaust, according to a new study.

The study, released by the University of Toronto’s Southern Ontario Center for Atmospheric Aerosol Research, measured air pollution in a few locations in Toronto and Vancouver over the course of two years.

They found that traffic was a big source of nitrogen dioxide, ultrafine particles and black carbon near roads — all of which have been associated with adverse health outcomes like asthma, birth and developmental concerns, cancer, and cardiovascular and respiratory mortality.

A new napping studio is offering midday snoozes

Are you a napper? What about the moment in your workday, where you just want to put your head down on your desk and close your eyes for a few minutes. Maybe you actually do that.

Well your desk is pretty uncomfortable. Wouldn’t you rather lie down somewhere and have a quick nap to recharge and then get back to work? If that appeals to you, then our next guest has just the thing.

Wildfire continues to grow northwest of Los Angeles

A wind-driven wildfire burning northwest of Los Angeles has grown to 1,300 acres (526 hectares).

The Ventura County Fire Department says the blaze is threatening 6,500 homes.

The fire erupted before dawn Wednesday between the cities of Simi Valley and Moorpark and has been spread by strong Santa Ana winds.

Flames have approached the hilltop Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, but a spokeswoman says no damage has occurred.

Helicopters and airplanes are dropping water and fire retardant as some 800 firefighters battle the flames on the ground.

Officers from the local Fire Department in Ventura County started a press conference just after 12 o’clock.

BREAKING: B.C. government to introduce daylight saving legislation tomorrow

Global News has learned the B.C. government is set to introduce permanent daylight saving time legislation tomorrow.

If passed, it will allow the province to put in place permanent daylight saving time as early as 2020.

More than 93 per cent of British Columbians who filled out the province's most popular public consultation of all time called for getting rid of season time changes.

The challenge for B.C. is getting Washington, Oregon and California on board over the next year.

Premier John Horgan has expressed interest in keeping the clocks consistent on the west coast, but American jurisdictions need U.S. congressional approval.

Clocks fall back early this Sunday morning - and maybe for the last time.
