Chapter 1

🔥🔥 Hot question of the day 🔥🔥

Countries all over the world are closing their airspace to the Boeing 737 Max 8, the plane that was involved in Sunday’s Ethiopian Airlines crashed that killed more than 150 people.  This morning, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, and Germany were among the countries to decide the plane wouldn’t be allowed into their airspace. Meanwhile, Canadian and U.S. authorities continue to maintain the plane is safe to fly and no changes are being made.

Air Canada has 24 of these planes, Westjet has 13.

What should Canada do?

Business as usual

Safety first, ground them

Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes have been banned from flying over Europe’s airspace following the fatal crash of one of the jets operated by Ethiopian Airlines.

On Tuesday, the European Union and other countries said the aircraft cannot fly over their airspace. Other countries have also taken action since Sunday’s accident, forbidding airlines from operating the plane.

While Canada is not among the countries grounding or banning the jet, moves by other countries impact Canadian airlines and travellers.
