Chapter 1

🔥🔥 Hot question of the day 🔥🔥

It’s @SimiSara980’s 🔥 question of the day:

Do you think a minority government is good for Canada? #elxn43 #cdnpoli

Yes, keeps them honest

No, things won’t get done.

Chapter 2

How can the federal parties work together to form a government?

It’s the day after the federal election, and some of the leaders have emerged to speak to the media this morning. NDP leader Jagmeet Singh says he's not worried about questions of his leadership when the so-called NDP surge resulted in the party actually losing 15 seats in yesterday's election.

Singh says he hasn't spoken to Justin Trudeau about how the minority Parliament will work, but says he is open to anything.

Chapter 5

Your feedback on the election campaign

Let’s bring you up to speed now with how the nation’s politics is looking this lunchtime.

We woke up this morning with no one party having a majority of the seats in the next term in the House of Commons. And so today, we’ve been hearing from the leaders of the NDP and the Conservatives and gaining clues as to how this new kind of politics might work.

Let’s start with Jagmeet Singh. He was first out of the blocks this morning at a press conference in Burnaby, right near the Metropolis at Metrotown.

He says he hasn't spoken to Justin Trudeau about how the minority Parliament will work, but says he is open to anything.

We’re expecting to hear more from Justin Trudeau tomorrow. And later this hour, Elizabeth May will be my guest on the Simi Sara Show.

Chapter 6

The Green Party gains three seats, but falls short of the breakthrough

In an election campaign where the threat of climate change loomed large, Canada’s Green Party had its best result to date but failed to make a major breakthrough. The party regained both of its seats in B.C. — one held by Leader Elizabeth May, the other by Paul Manly. In Fredericton, N.B., Jenica Atwin defeated a Liberal incumbent to give the Green Party its third victory.

Federal Green Party Leader
