Chapter 1

🔥🔥 Hot question of the day 🔥🔥

Vote in @jodyvance's 🔥 question of the day: will the BC Greens be able to retain the seats they earned in 2017 come the next provincial election?

No, they’re toast.

Yes, they will hold.

Remains to be seen.

Chapter 2

Why do people still blow stop signs, when we’re now so aware of the deadly consequences?

After a week of heartbreaking testimony by the Humboldt families, it seems many drivers are still blowing stop signs. Closer to home police are still searching for the driver of a BMW who killed a 53 yr old woman at a crosswalk late last month…. A deadly hit and run, at east 41st at Commercial.  A few of us here at CKNW and Global news were musing on twitter about how rampant this practice of NOT stopping at stop-signs has become.  Near misses are constant.  Joining us on the line is Jill Bennett, host of the Jill Bennett Show weekend mornings on CKNW -- a great follow on twitter.  We have opinions on this, welcome Jill.

The real world consequences of political rhetoric that targets minority groups

CBS News reporting on that attack on “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett. He says he has been completely honest with police as they investigate the attack on him in downtown Chicago on Tuesday.

Smollett says he was the target of a homophobic and racially-charged attack. He says two masked men beat him and wrapped a rope around his neck.

Last night, Ellen Page was on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert - and she gave an impassioned interview in which she said she is fed up with leaders like US President Donald Trump, and his Vice President, Mike Pence, who promote hatred and intolerance.

So what about Ellen Page’s point there - what are the real-world consequences of political rhetoric that targets specific groups in our society?
