Chapter 1
🔥🔥 Hot question of the day 🔥🔥
It’s @MikeSmythNews’s 🔥 question of the day:
16-year-old @GretaThunberg is leading a rally in Vancouver today, as thousands of young people arrive to demand action on the climate emergency.
Should the voting age be lowered, so these young people can have their say in elections?
Yes, lower it to 16.
No, they're too young.

$400 million hit for ICBC as NDP scrambles to deal with court ruling on expert reports
A court judgment released Thursday by B.C. Supreme Court Chief Justice Christopher Hinkson ruled that the government limits on expert reports was unconstitutional because it violated the exclusive powers of a court's control over its processes.
The NDP government is now scrambling to deal with the ramifications of a court ruling that struck down a key part of its auto insurance reforms and could blow a hole in the provincial budget.
A cap set by Attorney General David Eby on the number of expert reports allowed in auto insurance lawsuits was unconstitutional because it violated the exclusive powers of a court to control its own processes.
The immediate effect was an approximately $400 million financial hit for ICBC that Finance Minister Carole James has warned could swamp her thin $179-million projected budget surplus.
David Eby will be my guest after the 12:30 news. But first, I’m joined by the leader of the BC Liberals, Andrew Wilkinson.

A new lawsuit is being filed in Vancouver from young people who say the climate emergency has hurt them
Legal experts say a climate change lawsuit that's set to be filed today in Federal Court in Vancouver, is potentially precedent setting but will be a tough case to argue.
It's being filed by 15 youths who allege they've suffered specific injuries due to climate change.
The lawsuit calls on the federal government to stop conduct that violates their charter rights and to implement a plan that reduces Canada's greenhouse gas emissions.
None of the charter claims have been tested in court.
