As discussions with the province on a new contract continue, the BC Teachers’ Federation says as many as 400 teaching posts across British Columbia are currently vacant. The BCTF says other provinces are better able to compete for staff, because they pay their teachers more.

Grizzlies superfan holding rally to bring NBA back to Vancouver
Nearly 20 years after Vancouver lost its NBA franchise, a Grizzlies superfan is hoping to start a movement to bring one back.
Kat Jayme, the filmmaker behind the award-winning documentary Finding Big Country, is organizing a rally to show local support when the NBA comes to Rogers Arena on Thursday.
That’s when ex-Raptor superstar Kawhi Leonard and his LA Clippers will take on the Dallas Mavericks.

Starting tomorrow, around 200 high school students from all over the Lower Mainland will have their chance to find out more about cancer research.
