Guthrie, Oklahoma resident Stephen Jennings

Arrested after police say a routine traffic stop turned up a gun, a rattlesnake,  an open bottle of whiskey and rod of radioactive uranium in his car.

Jennings was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, transporting an open container of liquor and driving with a suspended license after police initially pulled him over for having expired tags.

No one knows what he was up to, or what he was planning on getting up to for the rest of the day..

A 9-week-old kitten survived a 30-mile trip trapped in the frame of a car

Auto repair shop owner Scott Bourne says the driver of the car heard a noise coming from under his vehicle when he left Lexington, Kentucky, but didn’t know what it was. Later that day, the driver stopped at a Hardee’s fast food restaurant in Frankfort and found the kitten.

Bourne says technicians at his Midas centre dropped the subframe from the car, and it took about 20 minutes of lathering the kitten with soap and wiggling it free.

Bourne named her Marigold, which is a variation of the name given to King Midas’ daughter in the book “The Golden Touch”  by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Marigold is reportedly in good health, and a longtime customer of the Midas location has volunteered to adopt her.
