Loser #1

Detric Lee McGowan

Our first loser today is actually someone we featured as one of our winners yesterday. So that was what we told you on the Simi Sara Show yesterday.

Today, we’ve learned more about the man who bought all those cookies.

His name is Detric Lee McGowan. And a DEA spokesperson has confirmed that he’s been arrested.

That’s because he’s a suspect in a drug investigation and he’s charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin, cocaine, and fentanyl.

A spokesperson for the Girl Scouts says that nobody was hurt, and they’d no reason to believe he was anything other than someone who was trying to help them out.

They viral photo of him with the Girl Scouts has been deleted.

Loser #2

Racist hockey fans in Quebec

Jonathan-Ismael Diaby, is a semi-pro hockey player who was subjected to racist taunts during a game in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, last Saturday.

He’s a former draft choice of the NHL’s Nashville Predators, and he left the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey game during the second period as a result of the verbal abuse.

He says he didn’t feel his family members, who were at the game and were also taunted, were safe, and they all left the arena.

Speaking today at the National Assembly in Quebec City, their Premier, Francois Legault, says people need to call out racism when they see it.
