Tomorrow is being hailed as "Tax Freedom Day" by the Fraser Institute think-tank.
What they've done here is they've tallied all the tax you pay - and have worked out that if you paid all your tax upfront on an average income, then tomorrow is the day that you'd have cleared all your tax bills and would start earning for yourself.
We’re almost half-way through the year, though… so does this mean that the tax burden is simply too high here in Canada? Is there a better way to balance the tax burden for workers?
