Don't expect any ridesharing before Christmas or New Year's Eve - that's what critics are saying in the wake of another delay.
Global News has obtained a letter from the Passenger Transportation Board to ridesharing applicants like Uber and Lyft, and it outlines changes in the process it blames on a judicial review of the rules launched by the Vancouver Taxi Association, and a modification of the application process.
Applicants will no longer have an oral hearing and will have to take additional time to provide final submissions before the PTB takes its time to make a final decision. Jas Johal says the Passenger Transportation Board is just catering to the taxi lobby.
