Markets plunged 8% this morning, prompting concerns about how the novel coronavirus outbreak is affecting the economy. 

 

Chinese officials have confirmed there are now over 17,000 cases of the coronavirus in China, and the Philippines have now recorded the first death of the novel coronavirus outside of China.
