BC has seen a recent spike in lethal backcountry falls. With seven deaths already in recreational activities in BC’s backcountry this summer, this surpasses the 3.5 average of people who die in related deaths during the summer according to the BC Coroners Service. With the long weekend already here, many will go hiking at the many trails, and mountains that we have in beautiful BC.
