Britain’s Defence Secretary, Gavin Williamson has been fired. And the reason for it really is quite something.

The country’s Prime Minister, Theresa May, says she’s received “compelling evidence” that Williamson was responsible for a leak from a secret government meeting. That resulted in the public finding out that the UK was planning to give Huawei some involvement in the roll-out of their 5G network.

May wrote to Williamson and told him she “can no longer have full confidence” in him.

Williamson denied he was the source of the leak in a letter posted on Twitter. And the government insists no decision has been made about Huawei.
