July 9th: John Norman Collins’ First Victim (1967)

Sometimes, police are so close to their suspect that they don’t even know it. A near miss that, when looked at with hindsight, becomes frustrating and hard to swallow. On July 9th 1967 a man took his first victim in what would later be referred to as the Michigan Murders. A man who was almost caught long before his victim list started to increase.
