December 2nd: John Hossack Dies (1900)

What happens when a prominent man is murdered and the only person nearby when that happens is his wife? On December 2nd 1900 a man was brutally slain in the same bed he shared with his wife and, because of this, she became the one and only suspect in his case. A woman who remained steadfast in her innocence and whose conviction hinged on testimony from neighbors, rumors about their marital status, and the actions of the family dog.
