Sometimes, in our stories, it's hard to feel any ounce of sympathy for the person responsible for horrendous crimes. Other times, there’s something in their past or about their life that can give us a slight pause. On January 29th 1932 a man brutally massacred almost an entire family. One who employed him and gave him a place to live. A man who, later found to be suffering from mental illness, would tell investigators that he was haunted by visions and commanded to kill by a ghost.
