During World War II, Melbourne, Australia experienced what is called a Brownout. In May of 1942 someone took advantage of the darkness to take the lives of 3 women. And, on November 9th 1942 the Brownout Strangler was executed for his crimes. Edward Joseph Leonski Executed (1942)
