We talk a lot about DNA and how it can help solve even the coldest of cases. But, DNA can also set an innocent person free after circumstances, and false confessions, land him or her behind prison walls. On January 20th 1988 a man was arrested in connection to crimes committed by the Southside Strangler. And, with his arrest and DNA sample, came the exoneration of a man who had been behind bars for a handful of years.
