October 3rd: Lyda Southard Paroled (1941)

Some women seem to have a special power to get men to do whatever they want. Even if that sometimes leads to the mens’ demise. On October 3rd 1941 one such woman was paroled after serving a sentence for the murder of one of her many husbands. Husbands who she convinced to marry her quickly, take out hefty insurance policies, and name her as the sole beneficiary.
