Today - A San Miguel County man is in federal custody for allegedly assaulting two D.C. Police officers at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. 68 year old Avery Carter MacCracken of Telluride, was arrested without incident on Dec. 11, near Norwood where he was reportedly staying in his car.

Also, four city council seats are due for reelection in April, with council seats in Districts I, II, III and the At-Large position slated for a spot on the municipal ballot. The city released the election news earlier this week, announcing that candidates can begin circulating nomination petitions in the new year.
