Jim McDonald is a professional strength and conditioning coach with 18 years’ experience and a career firefighter for the last 6 years. He graduated from Iowa State University in 2005 with his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sport Science and Minor in Spanish. He holds his Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Tactical Strength Coach Facilitator (TSAC-F) certifications from the NSCA. He is a professional member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association and serves as an Advisory Board member for the State of Colorado. His mission and goal is to help affect positive change in the fire service by using his passion and experience in strength and conditioning to help educate and spread knowledge of health and wellness and strength and conditioning to the Tactical/fire community. He writes, presents and is frequently a guest on podcasts to help educate and spread his passion in the industry.
