Mario Knapp is a 26-year veteran of one of the largest police agencies in South Florida. He is currently assigned as the Captain of the Warrants Bureau. Previous assignments include being assigned as Training Bureau Captain, Kendall District Captain, Northside District Captain, commander of the Robbery Intervention Detail (RID), Platoon Commander of the Port of Miami, Sergeant in the Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT), and a full-time Special Response Team (SRT) member. 


He has been assigned to the Department's Training Bureau in every rank, where he supervised and oversaw all in-service and advanced departmental training matters, to include tactical and force-related training programs within the department, and served as the Departmental expert in use-of-force. As both a Lieutenant and Sergeant, he oversaw the Department’s TASER CEW, Defensive Tactics and Firearms programs. Mario is a certified Defensive Tactics Instructor, Advanced Firearms and Sub-machine gun Instructor, Rappel-Master Instructor and Close Quarter Battle Instructor. Mario has also served as a member of the Training Advisory Board for multiple police product manufacturers.
