Mom's Minute 1-4-2016

Happy New Year!  On this, the 179th episode of Mom's Minute Video Game Show, Ms. H wishes everyone a Happy New Year and welcomes all to her first show of 2016. She discusses the video game she played, Smite, Battleground of the Gods, which is a free game  available on Xbox One.  One of her listeners mentions the Killer Instinct or KI video game which led Ms. H to let everyone know she is currently playing this game in anticipation of the special Mom's Minute KI video game tournament at http://www.allgames.com.  Ms. H talks about the video game character of the week, KI's Maya, who she said in her opinion, resembles Beyonce.  She informed all to check out an article she wrote on her http://www.moms-minute.com website on the Maya - Beyonce controversy. The specific link for Ms. H's article is http://www.moms-minute.com/index.php/ms-h-news/1016-killer-s-instinct-maya-beyonce-controversy .  Ms. H discusses Maya's background as well as fighting skills.  She said she will be using the Maya video game character as her fighter of choice during the Mom's Minute KI Video Game Tournament.  Daisy Ridley, one of the stars of the blockbuster movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens who plays the character of Rey, is featured as the celebrity video gamer of the week.  She ties Daisy Ridley to video games by stating the actress voices the Star Wars' character, Rey in the Disney Infinity 3.0 video game.  Ms. H  mentions it is likely Daisy Ridley will reprise her role as Rey in future Star Wars movies.  Ms. H shares her video game trip experience at an FYE store which surprisingly enough to her, did not stock video games or video game systems.  A probable reason for this per Ms. H's discussion with the store clerk is there is a GameStop in the mall where this particular FYE is located. Ms. H talks about upcoming new video game releases, noticing that quite a few games will be released on January 12, 2016.
