Adolph Robert Thornton jr was born July 27th 1985 in Chicago, Illinois. He moved to Memphis, Tennessee when he was just two years old and quickly started getting raised by his grandmother. According to HipHop Untapped, Adolph Thornton vowed to never sell crack and instead built his legacy in the streets mainly on selling marijuana before his emergence in the rap game. In 2014 Adolph Thornton blew up under his stage name of Young Dolph with the release of his mixtape “High Class Street Music 4: American Gangster”. Young Dolph as an artist was known for his gritty, hard hitting, and confident rap style that made the hit “RNB” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and was featured on O.T. Genasis’s smash hit “Cut it”. But Young Dolph’s rap career was riding passenger side with Young Dolph’s fued with Yo Gotti, which is illustrated throughout the video. The dued dies down around 2017 and the two artist focus on music from that point forward, for the most part. Adolph Robert Thornton jr aka Young Dolph was killed November 17 2021 in Memphis, Tennessee. Young Dolph was known as a very generous and giving person, recently donating 25k to his high school and known to give out Turkeys during the holiday’s. Rest Well Young Dolph.
