Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory was born in June 21, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan. Big Meech and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory started selling 50 bags of cocaine in the late 80’s while still in high school. For the next two decades Big Meech and his brother built up their business into a nationwide distribution ring that was moving product across multiple states. In 2000 Big Meech turned Black Mafia Family into “BMF entertainment,” a record label while still running the criminal enterprise. The federal government started tracking BMF by 2000 for their illegal drug distribution ring and official indicted Big Meech and Southwest T in 2005 and getting a plea agreement in 2007, both pleading guilty to 30 years a piece.
