The Watoto Church went from humble beginnings in a hotel suite in downtown Kampala, Watoto Church is now, on average, a 27000-strong congregation with 30-weekend celebration services in Kampala and Gulu, Uganda; and Juba, South Sudan.
The church is vibrant, youthful, energetic and life-giving and Richard works as the guest relations coordinator. He shares about going on a mission trip to India and ministering to children and learning that giving is better than receiving.
This helped him understand that he worries too much and allowed him to see his salvation through the lens of the children he was serving. That changed his perspective on ministry and allowed him to get out of his shell and not be concerned with his insecurities in ministry.

Richard prays for the church in the US that we would never lose the wonder of what God can accomplish in their life if they will be obedient to the call of a short term mission trip.
