In the second part of our two part episode with Henry, he shares his experience in his mission trip in India.

Henry’s mission trips to India holds a special place in his heart. He had developed deep and long-lasting friendships during his trip and he considers it his best experience out of all his mission trips. It was a grueling trip to get there but it was also one of the most exciting for him, even all the hoops and hurdles they had to go through to get there. God kept putting on him and, when they got there, it was a totally different culture and a different way of life.

India had a huge impact in his life because, even though the difference between him and the people of India was huge, it was still the same. They both feelings, they both had heart and hope. They have so very little but yet so much more than himm. He realzied that it didn’t matter how much wealth he can imagine. These people have nothing and have more. Henry fell in love with that idea. So when he came home to the US, his eyes were opened. He saw his neighbors in their own community differently, without loud judgmental thoughts. He gave everyone the benefit of the doubt and jumped in with both feet.

He had also gone to other countries for mission trips like Haiti and British Columbia yet he can just relate himself to India. Coming back to India, revisiting families and close friends and doing whatever needed to do over there held no problem with him.

He came back to the US and fell on his knees in front of his beautiful home shows God’s power of making things equal for God owns all. It is a gift from God that Henry is a steward and is living his life as a steward instead of as proprietor. That is a work of freedom because now he has God’ guide to sustain the house, repair it and everything else in between. As a steward, he did not just impact people in North Carolina but his impact is also felt 8,000 miles away in India even to this day, to Haiti and up north with his family members.

Henry’s experience shows that there is no limit to what God can do in and through us.
