God is never threatened or confused by the circumstances of our lives. We may think that God is limited or that we must attain a certain amount of success or importance for God to love us or call us to join him, but he never makes that claim. The Holy Spirit is our evidence and guarantor of that. The minute we follow Jesus is the minute God begins a supernatural work in us through his Spirit. The Apostle Paul makes that clear when he says “that God’s Spirit has began a good
work in us, sustained a good work in us, and will be completing a good work in us.” So what is the essence of that “work” that the Bible talks about? What is the purpose of it? How do we go along with it? How do we fight against it both willingly and ignorantly? In this message we look deep into why the Holy Spirit is beginning a work in us and what it means in our relationship to him and in our call to serve the world.
