This time around on the It's Not That Deep Bro Podcast we are diving into Martin Scorsese's 1982 cult classic "The King of Comedy" starring Robert DeNiro as the idiot savant Rupert Pupkin who will stop at nothing to achieve his dreams. It is a stark contrast to some of Scorsese's most well known films and formed the thematic backdrop for last years box office smash "Joker" directed by Todd Phillips. Scorsese's name was originally attached to "Joker" as executive producer but was dropped later for unknown reasons but his fingerprints remain all over the film.
