Ricardo de Zoete got his start in the NFT space by receiving an invite from a friend on Dribbble to join Foundation. He released pieces on Foundation with moderate success but it all really clicked when he decided to do his first series, Suicidal Hamster, on OpenSea. Hear Ricardo share his NFT origin story and how he was inspired by The Book of Bunny Suicides by Andy Riley to create his own similar series. Soon, Ricardo started to be known as Hammy around his Discord and Twitter so he adopted the name and began planning the Hammys project that would include 1,000 hand-drawn hamsters. Artists like Ricardo, who release hand-drawn pieces, often build very loyal communities.
