A Detroit native with degrees in economics and business administration from the University of Detroit Mercy, Roy started his career in health care working from various sides of the value chain, including innovation and product development around digital health and behavioral design.
In 2017, Roy went all in on his vision to bolster local communities with a new kind of support for local enterprises through the launch of Excelerate America. The goal of Excelerate America is to help provide "in between" business - those that are neither start-ups nor firmly established companies - with the resources and motivation they need to take their business to the next level.
