AppalCart has been serving Watauga County's public transportation needs since 1981. Like many businesses and service providers, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on how AppalCart operates and has impacted the funding sources that keep busses moving through the High Country.
Earlier this week, AppalCart announced a set of temporary route changes that will be put in place on August 10th, as the system modifies its operation to ensure efficiency in travel times during the pandemic. Craig Hughes, Director of AppalCart joins us this week to bust through some of the myths about the changes, details cleanliness policies, and give information on how riders should expect to use the buses as the summer and fall continue.
