In wake of the devastation from Hurricane Harvey, Caleb reviews the story of another disaster over 100 years ago and the power of private disaster relief.

As the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas ensue, it is time to reflect on what we as a people and movement should be doing. MilLiberty is about creating a community through empowerment and education. For those reasons, the show this week focuses on the story of tragedy and triumph of the Johnstown Flood of 1889. The lessons from this flood is incredibly timely and emphasizes the power of private relief and charity, without government. These lessons we much take and apply to the terrible disaster of Harvey and so many more to come if we are to expect the government to be limited to its proper role of power.
