Welcome Milk and Money Honeys!

Today’s guest is Alex Payne! Alex, along with her mom Pam, runs the blog Travel Hacking Mom. Their goal is to teach beginners how to travel for free using credit card points. They’ve earned millions of credit card points through travel hacking and have used those points to visit Hawaii numerous times, taken many business-class flights to Europe, family trips to San Diego, and much more! Today, she’s sharing how YOU can get started travel hacking and stop feeling travel FOMO!

Here is the drip:

Be mindful of the Chase 5/24 Rule. If you have had 5 credit cards opened within the past 24 months, you can’t apply for one of the Chase travel cards again during that time frame. If you want to do the Chase Preferred Rewards card or Chase Sapphire Reserve, you’ll want to do those first before any of the other cards.
If you already have existing credit cards with Capital One, Chase, or Citi, you can usually upgrade your free cards to travel cards. Capital One Venture is one of them. The great thing about this is, you’ll get a soft pull versus a hard pull by upgrading an existing card.
Remember: if you’ve signed up for a travel credit card in the past, you can re-sign up for those cards to get new travel points.
