As everybody knows there were very few live triathlon events during most of 2020.
In Florida we did have a couple of race directors who did find a way to hold events. One of those companies is Game On Race Events.
Today I chat with Willie Savoie from Game On Race Events to go behind the scenes and hear how they made it happen.
Willie shares her history in event production in Florida and the story of Game On Race Events.
We talk about what events they put on. What rules they put in place.
I ask how they figured out what to do and whether they had any help or guidance along the way.
We chat about who came to these events and from where.
Willie shares some tips for participants who are headed out to races with new rules and precautions in place for what you might expect.
Being in the live event business is never easy but in 2020 it was extra challenging. Thank you to all the race directors who gave it the extra effort to make it happen including Willie and the team at Game On Race Events.
