Let me repeat this in no uncertain terms:
Our state Capitol is not safe. https://t.co/eKxAiRHXqo

Many of the worst mass shootings in history have involved handguns alone (including Virginia Tech). But by all means, celebrate the banning of “open carry” today.
Guns you can’t readily see are just as deadly as those you can.

In September, the Michigan Capitol Commission rejected two proposals that would have limited guns inside the building — one that would have banned all guns in the Capitol and one that would have banned open carry of firearms in the Capitol. Commissioners have noted a complete ban on firearms would be costly since metal detectors likely would need to be installed to enforce such a policy. ~Source

I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that the President of the United States was completely MIA while the next three individuals in the line of succession (VP, Speaker of House, Senate Pres Pro Tempore) were under assault in the Capitol. Unconscionable.
— Rep. Peter Meijer (@RepMeijer) January 11, 2021
Yesterday’s assault on the Capitol didn’t have to happen. Politicians who spread the lies that incited this violence bear responsibility. Politicians who continue to lie in order to shift blame and falsely claim this was Antifa or BLM, are contemptible. More thoughts: pic.twitter.com/ZbMPfPXEi5

Meshawn Maddock needs to withdraw as the (unopposed) candidate for co-chairman of the Michigan Republican Party. If she doesn't, the convention should suspend the rules and elect a candidate from the floor. Period. https://t.co/xt5EfmQVNM

Yesterday, before being sworn in to the 117th Congress, I picked up my new member pin. These pins are re-designed with each new Congress, and each member gets a new one each session. Pins are required to get on the House floor, and act as our key for getting around the Capitol. pic.twitter.com/OB1ZLifoNN

The breach is far broader than first believed. Initial estimates were that Russia sent its probes only into a few dozen of the 18,000 government and private networks they gained access to when they inserted code into network management software made by a Texas company named SolarWinds. But as businesses like Amazon and Microsoft that provide cloud services dig deeper for evidence, it now appears Russia exploited multiple layers of the supply chain to gain access to as many as 250 networks. ~ Source
