Shea Patterson played and started 3 games in 2016 at Ole MIss after started Chad Kelly was injured - but they were the last 3 games of the season, and under the rules at the time, disqualified him from claiming 2016 as a redshirt year. But, with the redshirt rule changing in 2018 to allow players to play in 4 games any time during the season and still redshirt, could there be a possibility for Patterson to appeal to the NCAA for the rule to be retroactive to all seasons that current players played in? Perhaps, perhaps not, but the rumor mill won’t stop on this one lately!
