Age & Mitch have been asked a lot to talk about the rural gay experience but have avoided it for quite some, having very little to actually say on the matter. Now, with the help of new friend of the show, Esdale, they're ready to dive in. Hailing from the small QLD town of Yeppoon (population 6,000), our hosts take the opportunity to pick his brain on exactly how he survived growing up gay out bush.

The boys cover discovering your sexuality in these settings, reactions from family and the neighbours, the importance of a good librarian and the annual crowning of the Pineapple Queen of Yeppoon. Iconic. Discussion turns to the struggles to connect with gay people and gay culture remotely and learning to love who you are.
