Mental illness is real and black children are suffering from it. Who was raised in a home where you were told what happens in our home stays in our home? Our parents were trying to protect us and protect their space but I think hearing things like that said can cause a child to stuff and mass a lot of what needs to be talked about. I am not a mental health expert but I know what pain looks like from not speaking your truth. Today, Shyla is sharing her story of how she dealt with mental illness in her home and was still able to keep her sanity in the process. This interview is truly transparent.
