I've often had a complicated relationship with Gratitude. I thought of it as spiritual gaslighting for the longest time. It got to the point where I felt like acknowledging anything good about me, or my life would negate or invalidate all the things that weren't right. Navigating Higher education and the nonprofit industrial complex, we're often taught to lead with our trauma first. It's what we're reduced to. We are so much more than our trauma and the worst moments of our lives. This meditation is here to help guide you to a moment of Gratitude for yourself and give you a moment to safely put the things that do not bring you joy on the back burner.
