World Liver Day is commemorated globally every year on the 19th of April with the aim of raising awareness about liver health and the prevalence of liver diseases worldwide.
But despite its significance, liver health often remains neglected.
Medical Dialogues team interacted with the Top Hepatologist and leading Transplant physician in Tamil Nadu, Dr. Aswin S Krishna.
After completing his MBBS from Kanyakumari Government Medical College, he obtained his master’s in General Medicine (MD) from Madras Medical College. He then did a Doctorate of Medicine-Hepatology at Madras Medical College and did a Fellowship in liver transplantation at Rela Hospitals, Chennai. He is also an Intuitive certified in Observership in Liver Transplantation training.
