I’ve known my guest Philip Cole for almost a decade. This meander is such a treat for me as he and I share an understanding about joy and heart and soul coming out of studying together for all this time. We’re both students of the Enneagram, and of the soul, led through our studies by Angie Arendt and Peter McGaugh at Big Stone House. You all know Angie, she's my regular guest on the PauseCast, and Peter meandered with us back in May, 2021.

Phil has a warm and thoughtful way about him, which will come into focus as we meander. He’s taught me a few things about his creative process, about family, and about fear, how it is a future based thing – without time or thinking, fear is not possible. I never thought of it that way! We talk in depth about flow and how it shows up for him in his life, making joy more plentiful and real. And we play with words a bit: “should I…” versus “I should…” turns out, these are very different things. One is a criticism, the other, an invitation. I love that. I'm always learning!
