This year in 2020, Canada has seen the steepest rise in debt to GDP. Some politicians say, debt to GDP doesn't matter as long as we can service the debt and if we can't who cares. But what does debt to GDP mean for the average Canadian and we ask the question, should we care? To help us with this discussion is Peter Hall. Peter is the Vice President and Chief Economist for Export Development Canada. With over 30 years of experience in economic analysis and forecasting, Peter is responsible for overseeing EDC’s economic analysis, country risk assessment and corporate research groups.
