This week we are joined by a very special guest, amateur palaeontologist Ben Wilson, and we're discussing Disney's Dinosaur from 2000. This film made a splash with it's groundbreaking CGI animation interacting with real-life location shoots, and it still holds up 20 years on. With shades of Land Before Time, Tarzan, and the Jungle Book, Dinosaur follows Aladar, an iguanadon raised by early primates, as he joins a herd and attempts to find the hallowed 'nesting ground' after an apocalyptic event. In our staging, we ripoff Walking With Dinosaurs, War Horse, the Natural History Museum, and Universal's Jurassic Park Ride... all at once. Ben Wilson also gives us some of his coveted dinosaur facts at the end!
