The Jamaican Immigrant, who attended Howard University in Washington, DC, on a track and field scholarship, is paying it forward by empowering her immigrant students to pursue college too. Ms. Thorpe also won the 2018-2019 National Life Changer of the Year award and goes above and beyond for her students.
