This week on the second half of a special #EducationReboot episode of #MaxOutTime: First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter Middle School History Teacher, Dustin Vitale, discusses his COVID Classroom experiences amid the pandemic.

Dustin admits that teaching comes naturally to him because of his mom. But the pandemic tested Dustin’s limits when he was stuck juggling school work and running the cheesesteak business.

Despite his excitement for returning to the classroom this fall, Dustin recounts the first school closures, describes Zoom as the “worst” part of his virtual teaching experience and gives special words of encouragement to all teachers who are still struggling.

If you wish to learn more about Vitale’s Steaks, which Dustin resumed recently in order to raise money to buy his students school supplies, please follow Dustin on Instagram @dvitale23.
