Pirate Jeanne de Clisson, The Lioness of Brittany

In this episode we discuss the awesome and original femme fatale, Jeanne de Clisson otherwise known as the Lioness of Brittany.  This lady captivated the masses  in the 14th century when she developed her own fleet of pirate ships and hit the high seas to exact revenge against the French monarchy for her husband's unlawful execution!  Walk the plank with us as we discuss this noblewoman turned pirate and back to nobility.  We also separate the fact from fiction regarding pirate lore and legend, and you will probably hear an Argh (or ten) and some other colorful pirate lingo.
